Since 2015, Casual Chess Club has been a friendly fixture in Las Vegas, hosting weekly over-the-board play inside Jersey Mike’s Subs and welcoming players of all levels with open arms and open boards. Now, we’re thrilled to announce our expansion to Alamosa, CO!
Starting this month, chess lovers in the San Luis Valley can join the action every Monday at IHOP, located in Alamosa. Look for us toward the rear of the restaurant, where the coffee’s hot and the games are sharper than ever. Local players can reach out to Chris, our Alamosa club contact, for details or to get involved.

IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT CALL THE VENUE
Is that meeting time correct? Monday morning from 9 until noon?? First of all that’s a bizarre meeting time as most people will be at work or sleeping. Also this overlaps with IHOP’s breakfast and early lunch schedule, not sure if they’d be thrilled about that. 9:00pm to midnight would be more plausible, but even that is odd on account of the duration and late in the day start time.
The Alamosa meeting timeframe is correct.
Also, there is no conflict between IHOP [Alamosa] and Casual Chess Club.
