Duolingo Launches Chess Course for Beginners

Duolingo, best known for teaching languages, is now helping people learn chess! The company just released a new chess course for iOS users, with more availability coming soon.

Duolingo wants to make chess easy for beginners, especially younger players. Edwin Bodge, a Duolingo spokesperson, says chess is a game anyone can learn, but it takes a lot of time to master. The goal of the course is to make learning chess fun and not intimidating.

Adding chess shows that Duolingo is expanding beyond just language learning, proving that it can be creative and competitive in the online education world.
