Just another fun night of casual chess at the club’s venue Jersey Mikes.

Pat and A.J. played several timed games (5/0). A.J. was giving Pat the banter treatment, verbalizing throughout most of the games. He was quite animated in his banter and it did not go unnoticed by others in the venue. Such banter might not be tolerated in formal settings, but the chess we play is casual chess, so banter is part of the game as long as it is friendly.

Note, however, after the general meeting, a few participants went over to Dotty’s. There at Dotty’s, Kevon and Ed Magik went head-to-head in three timed (10/2) games. Kevon won the first game, however like a fierce puma, Ed Magik pounced back with two stunning victories.
