Welcome to the Clubhouse
Effective: September 19, 2020
Casual Chess Club welcomes you to our Clubhouse, established back in January 2020 for the purpose of having a club presence on Chess.com.
Since the pandemic has affected changes in lifestyle for many people, as a safety measure, we have shifted club chess play from our physical location Jersey Mikes at Rainbow and Oakey to online events via our Clubhouse on Chess.com.
At the time of this writing, the club features tournament events on mostly Thursdays and Sundays. See our Clubhouse Tournament Events Schedule for dates and times of future and past events. Also we have a Clubhouse Tournament Events Archive with links to past events. You can review the past games by following the links provided.
Important! Read This Section
If you have requested Clubhouse membership and were approved without having filled out our Clubhouse Membership Request Form, your Clubhouse membership is temporary and you must submit a completed Clubhouse Membership Request Form within ten days of being approved access to our Clubhouse.
Also note club membership, which is different from Clubhouse membership, is temporary if any of the following apply:
- You are not a local resident of the Greater Las Vegas area; or
- You have not attended any in-person Casual Chess Club events.
Your Clubhouse membership is contingent upon your club membership, and your access to our Clubhouse is subject to termination at any time. Also, your Clubhouse membership may be terminated if you are a temporary club member and you do not participate in at least 6 Clubhouse events within 90 days of being accepted to our Clubhouse.
