Casual Chess Club Banner Proposed
A club member in good standing, Mark O. Dunn, proposed, sponsored, and arranged for a physical 1′ by 2′ banner to be created and displayed inside Jersey Mike’s, the club’s meeting place, at the time of this writing. Below is sketch of the proposed banner that was submitted by Dunn to Ed Magik, another club member in good standing, for the purpose of transforming the sketch into a banner graphic image suitable for production.
Ed Magik, referred to by Dunn as “Mr. Digital”, drafted three proofs for review and approval. These proofs appear below.
Note, however, none of these made the final draft until after the club meeting on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, where Dunn expressed that he wanted the banner to stand out. As a result of that meeting, Ed Magik created the accepted draft pictured below.
The approved final draft features an eye-stunning yellow background with stark black lettering, the club’s website address printed in red, the club’s logo placed in the lower left corner, a chessboard with pieces featured in the lower right corner, and a red trim. This draft will be sent to Michael Z. at Workonomy located in Las Vegas for production into a physical 1′ high by 2′ long banner that will be placed on one of the walls inside of Jersey Mike’s.
If all goes well, the banner debut will be Tuesday, February 25, 2020. A group photo will be taken at the unveiling of the banner.
Ed Magik, Webmaster for Casual Chess Club, says that he may use a modified version of the final and other drafts to promote the club on social media.

It has been said that the owners of the Jersey Mike’s franchise we play at has decided to put their logo on it, and place it on the front window where it gets even more visibility. More details on this will come soon. – Chris.
